When I announced my resignation from my last position, it was a step that was a clear choice for me to stay true to myself and dedicate myself to new challenges. What I did not expect was the overwhelming response I received. Messages from customers, followers and colleagues from various departments reached me, in which they expressed their appreciation for our cooperation over the years. Many emphasized how much they appreciated my support and how I was part of their personal and professional development.
These reactions made clear to me that I had a lasting influence in my previous role. In particular, I became aware of how often I had played a key role for others in their “growth journey” – as someone who not only pursued goal-oriented actions, but also maintained an open ear and pursued a supportive approach.
And this was a key turning point in my journey: I realized that as long as I was active in my position, my support to others was self-evident – almost invisible, because it was there whenever it was needed.
